✨ Weekly Class: The Jewish View on Giving ✨
Presented by Chabad of Arcadia
Understanding Tzedakah — Justice, Responsibility, and Heart
🎥 About the Series
Jews are famously generous—but where does that value come from?
Join us for a 10-week Zoom Torah series led by Rabbi Sholom Stiefel exploring the Jewish sources behind tzedakah. Through Torah, Talmud, Midrash, and later Jewish thought, we’ll uncover why giving is central to Jewish life and how it shapes individuals and communities.
Each session explores a different dimension of giving, including:
🔹 Why tzedakah is considered justice, not generosity
🔹 What giving accomplishes spiritually and communally
🔹 How much Judaism actually expects
🔹 Priorities, motives, and preserving dignity
🔹 Teaching the value of tzedakah across generations
